The Faculty of Pharmacy arranged a ceremony for freshman students in the purpose of celebrating the end of their first academic year in the Department, held on June 24th, 2021. The event was under administered by the Dean of Students Representatives, Dr. Zeynel Polat, Dr. Rozhan Arif, and important class advisors. The Faculty of Pharmacy of Tishk International University organized the first National Tishk Pharmaceutical Conference, held on June 26-27, 2021. The conference lasted for two days, consisting of 5 sessions and 6 sessions, respectively. The opening ceremony was held on TIU campus in the Faculty of Pharmacy building, in which Dr. Esra Tariq Bayrakdar, Head of Department and Convener, launched the event, followed by a welcome speech delivered by the President of Tishk International University, Asst. According to the ministerial decree No. 6848 dated 26.5.2021, an official committee visited TIU on the 15th of June 2021, to approve the launching of a new department at the Faulty of Engineering under the name of Petrochemical Engineering Department. The committee consisted of Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Haseeb Siddiq, Dean of Engineering Faculty at Koya University, as chair, Assist. Prof. Dr. Saif Talal Manji and Assist. The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics successfully completed the 5th National Business and Administrative Sciences Student Conference on June 22nd, 2021. The conference started at 10:00 AM with a welcome speech by Mr. Karwan Talaat, the Research Assistant of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics as the Conference Moderator. Dr. Abdul Samad, President of Tishk International University also delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the conference and how it contributes to enhancing the understanding and knowledge among the students. Tishk International University has participated in the HITEX 2021 annual exhibition. The Faculty of Engineering took part in this technological exhibition by presenting their graduation projects. Students from the Departments of Mechatronics, Computer, and Information Technology displayed their work in the event and drew the attention of more than 62,000 visitors, as well as local media TV, including Kurdistan 24 (K24) news channel. Thankfully, our booth maintained countless quality projects that have great future potential, such as the Robotic Minesweeper, created by Garmyan Fouad Ali. Tishk International University had previously submitted a proposal to establish a new Department of Physiotherapy. According to this request, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research committee visited TIU to discuss and evaluate the requirements, including the room & space availability, equipment, devices, staff, and academic regulations.
