Tishk International University is one of the active members of Association of Arab Universities (AArU). The Association of Arab Universities is an organization working within the framework of the Arab League based in Amman, Jordan. The objective of the organization is to support and connect universities to enhance cooperation among them.

The recently elected Prof. Dr. Amro Izzat Salama, new president of Association of Arab Universities (former minister of higher education in Egypt) and a delegation from AArU has paid a visit to KRG universities including Tishk International University. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of board of Trustees and President of Tishk International University welcomed the delegation as well as the president of Salahaddin, Dr. Ahmad Dzayee and Dr. Maqsud Saadi, Director of general relations from ministry of higher education of KRG on Wednesday, October 29, 2018..

They choose to visit Tishk International University since according to the last webometrics ranking, Tishk International ranked 1st among the private universities in Iraq. And lately the Law Faculty of Tishk International University was accredited by the AArU.

A presentation were presented by Dr. Idris upon the history, departments and the recent achievements of Tishk International University. In the meeting, they agreed to improve the relations of Tishk International with the Association of Arab Universities and other Arab universities. AArU will cooperate with Tishk International University in terms of teaching methods, promotion of joint research projects, quality assurance and accreditation. Prof. Dr. Amro hailed the academic achievements of Tishk International in a short period of time and hoped to work more with national universities and international ones to upgrade educational output. He also mentioned the importance of broadening the scope of cultural exchanges through co-operation between universities in KRG and the Arab universities.

At the end of meeting Dr. Idris Hadi presented the plaque of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Amro. After the meeting they visited the modern labs, classrooms and Faculty of Dentistry.
