3rd International Workshop on Education: New Trends and Prospects (3rd IWENTP)

Tishk International University regularly embraces numerous academic events to ensure quality education and keep up with contemporary trends. In this line, on September 22nd, 2022, the English Language Teaching Department at Tishk International University held its 3rd International Workshop on Education: New Trends and Prospects (3rd IWENTP). The primary aim of the workshop was to provide opportunities for international and national academicians to engage, share their views and experiences, and generate research ideas aimed at improving the current situation of education in general and English Language Teaching in particular. To that end, the workshop reflected on a number of critical topics.

The event stayed an open platform for productive discussions through two different sessions and a panel discussion. The first session was presented by Prof. Dr Fatimah Rashid Hasan Al Bajalani – Salahaddin University-Erbil, Iraq, and highlighted “Lifelong Learning: An Emerging Trend.” The second session, presented by Dr Mariam Merkviladze – International Black Sea University and Ilia State University, Georgia, covered “Tech-inclusive Education: Challenges and Opportunities.”

Moreover, the panel session was dedicated to “Distraction vs Attention in Class.” the panel analysed the issue by exploring the relevant and latest literature, discussing the critical causes, sharing real-life experiences and, thus, providing specific solutions. The event comprised four panellists from different academic institutions, each having a rich canon of teaching experience:
