Tishk International University celebrated its 6th graduation. The ceremony was held at 20.00 on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the front garden of the university campus. The ceremony started with the inauguration speech by the Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Idris Hadi. In his speech, Dr. Hadi addressed to the valuable guests and representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and other private and non-private institutions; academics, parents and the students.
In addition to the successes of the university and good wishes to the graduates, he mentioned that Tishk International Univeristy has been granted with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems since 2015 and Civil Engineering Department has been internationally accredited by the German accreditation agency ZeVA without any conditions.
In the 6th graduation, 711 students from 8 departments will have the privilege to graduate in 2016-2017 Academic Year. The details are as follows:

During the ceremony, top 3 students of each department was awarded with the plaquette. A concert organized in the honor of the students. In the concert, the young and famous singer Ahmed Halil entertained the students and the visitors.
The program hosted the prominent guest: Nawzad Hadi Governor of Erbil, Dr. Muhamad Sabir represntive of Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Saman General Manager of Health in Erbil, Dr. Madhad Sulaiman and Mr. Jamal Murtka from Kurdistan Parliament, Mr. Ghafoor Khoshnaw owner of Khoshnaw Group, Mr. Tahir Abdulla Vice Governor of Erbil, Represntitves of the U.N, Japan Consulate, USA Consulate. Both Mr. Nawzad Hadi and Dr. Muhamad Sabir gave a speech and they mention about Education in Kurdistan evaluating Tishk International University in a high standards, and they thanked peshmarga for keeping Kurdistan safe.
The University was founded in 2008 and currently it has two campuses: in Erbil and Sulaimani. There are 15 programs operated under 6 faculties. Giving education to -approximately- 2500 students on two campuses, the university offers double diploma opportunity and staff and student exchange. It gives education in international standards equipped with the latest technology. As the students and the staff are international, Tishk International is English-taught university, except Law Faculty in which Arabic is used. The application for the MA studies has been done and the approval of the Minsitry is processing.
