The Best Research Award has been given to our distinguished Associated Professor Dr. Azeez Abdullah Barzinjy from Physics Education Department at Tishk International University.

This certificate has been given to him by the International Science Father (SF) organization for his contribution and honorable achievement in innovative research: “Curve-fitting on experimental thermal conductivity of motor oil under the influence of hybrid nano additives containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes and zinc oxide” which has been published in the journal Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications.

This journal belongs to the Elsevier Publishing company, and it has a Cite Score 4.4 and an Impact factor 2.924. In this investigation, Dr. Azeez and the co-authors measured the thermal conductivity of a novel hybrid nano-lubricant, i.e., ZnO-MWCNT/Engine oil (SAE 10W40). Hybrid nanofluids have attracted lots of attention due to simultaneous take advantage of the properties of two or more kinds of nanoparticles in the base fluid. Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs) are widely utilized and attached to metal oxide nanoparticles due to significant thermal characteristics.

This study aimed to assess the thermal conductivity of the hybrid nanofluid of Zinc Oxide (ZnO) and Multi-Wall CNT (MWCNT) in Engine oil (SAE 10W40) experimentally. The influences of nanoparticle concentration as well as fluid temperature were evaluated.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Azeez Barzinjy and his strong team have published many scientific articles in the nanotechnology field in the high impact international journals.  Up to now, Dr. Azeez’s progress rejoices hearts and is remarkably fruitful; therefore, we wish him all success in his future endeavor.
