The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics successfully organized and completed the 3rd Tishk International Business and Administrative Sciences Student Conference on May 14th, 2018.

The conference started at 10:00 AM with a welcoming speech by Mr. Fayeq Ali as the Conference Moderator.

Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Chairman of Board of Trustees and President of Tishk International University presented an introductory speech about Tishk International University.

Mr. Fatih Cura, Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, as the Honorable Committee of the conference, presented a speech that motivated participants and conference organizers for better performance and emphasized the importance of events that have a great impact on the development of the country and the enhancement of student’s academic career. The Dean of Faculty also highlighted the value of such proceedings and assured that more opportunities for the academic development of the university will be provided. Mr. Fatih Cura thanked all contributors to the conference, especially Dr. Jay Joseph Lecturer at the University of Kurdistan Hawler, as IIBASSC-2018 Keynote Speaker and Al-Uroush Automotive BMW for their valuable participation as Sponsors of IIBASSC-2018.

Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Head of Business and Management Department and Chair of the Conference gave an introduction speech about IIBASSC 2018 and expressed his happiness in conducting the 3rd International Business and Administrative Sciences Student Conference successfully with the support of lecturers and students, the members of organizing the committee, and BMW Company as the conference sponsor.

The faculty’s 151 4th year students began writing their theses at the beginning of the academic year, and 103 of them submitted their thesis for evaluation. Out of 31 research paper submissions, 5 were not approved by the scientific committee to be presented at the conference; only 26 research papers were deemed qualified.

After the opening ceremony, there were 3 parallel sessions between 11:15 to 12:30 and 3 parallel sessions between 1:15 to 14:15. The event was marked as a success, and beneficial for the academic development of our students.

We look forward to preparing for IIBASSC 2019.
