In the process of promoting applied learning to enhance the practical experience, the Business and Management Department of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Tishk International University initiated the activity “Academy-Industry Engagement” with the course Marketing Strategies for 4th Year students under the guidance of Dr. Uma Shankar Singh. The main theme behind the project was to get associated with organizations involved in the business field. A group of students gathered together, chose companies with their lecturer for the course, and visited the organization a few times, according to the company’s consent and time, to assess the current business situation. Furthermore, they developed group reports with suggestions and submitted it to the lecturer and the organization for business development, which will eventually be published for academic purposes. Six groups of students visited Gift Center, Bamboo Asian Restaurant, S&i Cosmetics, Medicano Hospital, Al Safi Danone and Serpil Fashion. This is regarded as an initiative for stronger and more inclusive interaction for future study, in support for the success of the learning process of our students, the future of Kurdistan.
