On December 4th, 2019, the International Relations Office of TIU in collaboration with the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) of the University organised a workshop for the Consul General of the Republic of Korea to Kurdistan. The Consul General, Dr. Choi Kwang-Jin was first welcomed by the President of the University, Dr Idris Hadi, and Head of the International Relations Office, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş. Following this, and meeting between the sides, Dr. Kwang-Jin was welcomed by staff and students from the IRD Department.
Dr. Kwang-Jin then presented a lecture on “practical diplomacy” for the students, which was then followed by an exchange of views and questions between the presenter and the students. The session was chaired by one of the IRD lecturers, Dr. Hawraman Ali, and was attended by several other members of staff, including the Head of the IRD Department, Dr. Dilshad Hamad.
