[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Dr. Heja Sindi joined UKH in 2007 and has been in academia for almost 20 years now. He is a trainer and a consultant for a number of businesses and public organizations. He is also an executive fellow and a certified USAID trainer in areas of public management, governance and strategic planning.

As an academician in business administration, his PhD thesis focused on knowledge management in relation to quality of services and human resources. His area of focus during the MSc stage was on how to achieve optimization levels through using production planning for operations in manufacturing companies.

Dr. Sindi has developed and taught programs and modules in the areas of business management and public sector management including but not limited to operations management, human resource management, organization theory and marketing management.

Heja holds a PhD in business administration from the university of Salahaddin in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, an MSc in business administration from Kufa University in Najaf, Iraq and a BA in business management from Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad, Iraq. In addition, he is a fellow of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University in New York, USA and a fellow at the Business Ethics Center, Bentley University in Boston, USA.

Heja developed the first executive program in Iraq at the UKH; the Barzi Executive Programme. He has also introduced at UKH the first BA degree in public sector management in Kurdistan. Inadditon, he worked from 2000 to 2005 on developing the first BSc in spatial planning at the University of Duhok in collaboration with Dortmund University in Germany.

Heja is a main writer of the UNDP human development report and also writes on diaspora relocation policies. In addition, he has developed a number of restructuring and strategic plans for different profit and nonprofit organizations.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
