PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. To educate students who have the theoretical and applicable knowledge and proficiency in management sub-disciplines
  2. To educate entrepreneur that has analytical and evaluating proficiency in the area of management applications.
  • To learn qualitative and quantitative decision-making models in management
  1. Increasing the application skills on management issues via using decision making, and problem-solving techniques.

To work individually, and in the group works, and to have self-confidence for responsibility the capability of reaching to the information and data needed, to search databases and other sources of information, the awareness of the importance on learning, to follow the recent developments and issues in management science and technology, and sustainable self-development.
  3. Presentation of accumulation in environments such as; congress, conference or seminars, in either native or foreign languages.

Dear Students and guests welcome to the Tourism Management Department. Our department was established in 2009 under the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics. Nowadays we are the largest department at the university with more than 400 students. We aim to educate leaders and managers of the future equipped with essential skills.

In the current atmosphere of the business world, dynamic changes create competitive demand for qualified specialists in the field of business, management, economics, marketing and quantitative studies. In that regard, we have updated our curriculum to reflect these on-going market dynamics in order to prepare our students to become competitive and socially responsible managers, leaders, entrepreneurs and employees.

Tourism Department aims at training and raising the individuals with the qualification of general knowledge, alertness to the challenges in economics and management, and having the capability to work in any administration in local and/or foreign private sectors. The mission of the Tourism Department is to prepare and graduate students for careers in business, government and non-profit organizations by providing a broad professional education and vocational English. Tourism Studies are among the most popular fields of study at universities worldwide. Especially, Business Graduates are in high demand in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and even span world. Having studied business management, one can attain a job opportunity in any sector of the market. Tourism studies also provide jobs in mid-level and upper-level management positions in various sectors such as banking, fashion, medicine, media, etc.
