Christmas is the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth, within this context Dean of Students of Tishk International University organized an event for our Christian students on December 23, 2019. On this day our campus was decorated by Christmas tree, an evergreen tree, often a pine or a fir, decorated with lights and ornaments as a part of Christmas festivities.

Christmas trees can be fresh-cut, potted, or artificial and are used as both indoor and outdoor decorations. While the trees are traditionally associated with Christian symbolism, their modern use is largely secular. Many families place presents around an indoor Christmas tree to be opened on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Event has been started by the speech of Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees, in his talk he congratulated this day to all Christian students and staff then he emphasized that TIU is a place for all religions and colors without any different. After his speech one of our Christian students explained the importance of the day, finally all enjoyed with their traditional sweets, cookies and group photo. We as Tishk International University wish a happy year and merry Christmas to all.
