NPC-2019
3rd National POP-conference (NPC-2019) was held on 2nd of March 2019 by Education Faculty of Tishk International University.
Faculty of Education organizes professional development (PD) series for pre-service teachers to increase students’ skills and to make them aware of professional teaching and learning. National POP- Conference is also one of the key concepts of this PD series which organized by a collaboration between the departments of Mathematics, Physics, Biology Education and English Language Teaching Departments.
The NPC-2019 conference was started by a remarkable speech of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, head of Board of Trustees and President of TIU and continued with the welcome speech of Chair of NPC-2019 Dr. Suleyman Celik, Dean of Education faculty. Then the time came for keynote presentation, and Dr. Frano L. Ivezaj performed his amazing speech about Teachers of future and requirements of being a successful teacher.
The organizing committee of NPC-2019 visited and invited about 60 schools and its esteemed experienced teachers to share their experiences with our pre-service teachers. Successfully, there were 28 speakers and, approximately 300 students’ from 3rd and 4th grades of Education faculty participated in NPC-2019.
The conference was closed by closing dinner for school principals, invited teachers from schools and organizing the committee of NPC-2019. During the dinner and after, the future plans of the Education Faculty for our teacher candidates and the demands of society has been discussed.
