Tishk International University, Faculty of Education successfully accomplished blended learning (online and on-campus) during the spring semester of 2020 – 2021, through Development Training Seminars, Workshops, and Panels within 26 hours between 14.10.2020-14.06.2021.
The mission of PD training seminars:
To support our faculty be successful, which in turn promotes the learning and academic success of the students.
Professional development seminars give a great opportunity to meet with people from different disciplines.
The objectives of faculty professional development seminars:
- Encouraging collaboration and supporting innovation in education.
- Promoting academic integrity
- Providing support to the faculty in developing curriculum, facilitating instruction, and enhancing instructional knowledge and skills
- Suggesting ways to enhance the development of faculty knowledge related to pedagogy, curriculum design, and course development
- Providing opportunities for faculty to enhance skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and construction of course materials.
- Enhancing the instructional methods of the faculty.
- Supporting the use of technological tools and the development of online and hybrid teaching methods and course construction of the faculty.
- Encouraging the interaction among faculty members with current and emerging trends in educational theory, instruction methods, and incorporation of technology in teaching.
- Recommending methods to faculty to support improvement in teaching and research.
- Sharing information from a variety of scholarly publications that contribute to the knowledge base in instructional effectiveness.
