On 6th March 2021, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a workshop 4TH National Language Teaching & Teacher Training Workshop. The workshop aimed at developing an effective understanding of how the post-pandemic education should be, explore some lessons learned from pandemic experience, discuss and explore some strategies for a student centered model and develop an effective understanding of teacher professional development in adapting the classroom experience and enhancing the knowledge in problems that modern education is facing and how it could be feasibly resolved. The workshop included the following sessions:

  • 1st session: Adapting Classroom Experience: Education from pre-pandemic normal to

    post-pandemic normal.

  • 2nd session: Demo Lesson: -ed/-ing adjectives.

The workshop was opened by Dr.Suleyman, the Dean of Education. He welcomed all the audience and gave a short speech whereby he shared his awareness with students concerning a competitive world as future teachers.

The workshop was presented by Mr. Sercan OZ, MA and Mr. Recap Bilgin both visiting speakers. It was attended by ELT lecturers, students mainly 4th graders and research assistants from Faculty of education both at TIU and online(Zoom). The workshop facilitated the students to know about the adaptation of classroom experience and delivering quality lesson in the education world. The workshop was conducted successfully and met the objectives, the environment was friendly and students had a chance to participate in asking questions both on campus and online.

Dr.Venera Ulker, the Head of English Language Teaching gave a closing speech. She showed appreciation to all the speakers for the adequate presentations, organizers and students for being collaborative and active throughout the sessions. All the participants were awarded certificate.
