The last session of the NW2-2018 included an open debate entitled “The Present and Future of Nanotechnology: Our Perspectives” by the distinguished researchers in the nanotechnology field. The audience participated effectively in the debate and in general, they gave positive feedback to the workshop. The panellists were selected according to their experiences: Prof. Dr. Mustafa S. Omar from Salahaddin University-Erbil, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khedir R. Khedir from the American University of Kurdistan and Prof. Dr. Muhammed-Ali Al-Omari from JUST University in Jordan. The session was professionally moderated by Dr. Amir A. Abdullah, from Salahaddin University-Erbil.

The distinguished panellists explored the present and future of nanotechnology, then they localized the position of the Kurdistan Universities and they analyzed the achievements critically. Later each panellist presented their perspective regarding the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. The panellists and the participants together stated that both the 1st NW-2017 and 2nd NW-2018 became an effective platform to gather all of the researchers in the Nanotechnology field who are contributed in the improving this science progressively.

The final part in this debate was specialized for the discussions about the future of nanotechnology in general and nanotechnology workshops. This extraordinary session warmly welcomed by the participants and they all engaged with the debate. The evaluation forms were given to the participants by the workshop organizing committee to write their actual feeling and neutrally evaluating the workshop.
