In today’s world, continuous learning is crucial to ensure that employers have the essential knowledge and the skills to compete in the global market. Likewise, academics need to have the up-to-date skills and the knowledge to prepare their students for this market and help them succeed. Academics are individuals with different needs and therefore, different dynamics affect their motivation in their professional lives.

This Faculty Professional Development Committee (shortened for FPDC), with the purpose to promote an academic institutional culture where effective teaching and meaningful learning is held of high value, organized another seminar entitled “Self-Assessment for Teachers” presented by Dr. Suleyman Celik, Dean of Faculty of Education, Tishk International University. The seminar was held at the Faculty of Education, on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
