Tishk International University is considered as the first and the only university that has interior design as engineering in both Iraq and Kurdistan region, the department of interior design engineering established in 2014, so far six classes has been graduated from the department, most of the graduates are working, some has their own offices, competing local and international offices. The education in interior design provides students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of human nature, artistic expression, technological expertise, and digital media that will enable them to pursue fulfilling and innovative jobs. The Interior Design department emphasizes environment and behavior, the design process, and the newest technologies in its challenging degree programs. Students get guidance and instruction to design interiors for residences, commercial spaces, healthcare facilities, education, hotels, and restaurants or manage the business and retail side of the design sector.
