The student centered learning approach is not a new learning approach, however, it is not applied widely in learning institutions in Kurdistan Region of Iraq. On June 24, 2019, both Petroleum & Mining Engineering Department and Research Centre at the Tishk International University (TIU) and the University of Calabria, Arcavacata, Cosenza, Italy organized a workshop entitled “Physical Chemistry Characterization of modified Bitumen” held at the TIU in Erbil.
