The Visit to Jordan for the 7th International Arab Conference on Mathematics and Computations (IACMC 2022)
Staff members of the Mathematics Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, attended the 7th International Arab Conference on Mathematics and Computations, held from 11th to 13th May 2022 at Zarqa University, in Amman, Jordan. Dr Orhan Tug (HOD), Prof. Mowafaq Muhammed Al-Kassab, Assist. Prof. Dr. Salisu Ibrahim, Assist. Prof. Dr Younis Sabawi and Mr David Wafula travelled to Jordan on May 9th, 2022, to join the conference and complete several academic affairs with universities in Jordan.
On 10th May 2022, the team visited Al Albayt University in Mafraq to discuss possible academic collaboration with TIU. The discussion with both vice presidents for academic affairs and finance and administration was fruitful, and they agreed to study the draft MoU presented by TIU and respond accordingly. On 11th May, the team joined the conference at Zarqa University for the opening ceremony and paper presentations by Assist. Prof. Dr. Salisu Ibrahim and Prof. Mowafaq Muhammed.
On 12th May, the team went back to Zarqa University for paper presentations by Dr Orhan Tug, Assist. Prof. Dr. Younis Sabawi, and Mr. David Waswa. During the closing ceremony, Dr Orhan Tug presented a gift from TIU to the President of Zarqa University in appreciation of their hospitality and collaboration.
On the last day, May 13th, the conference organised a trip to Jordan’s ancient and historical city Petra for all conference participants.
