On October 16th and 17th 2018, an Expert Panel comprised of two Academic Representatives, one Representative of Profession, one Students Representative and Project Manager conducted a site-visit to Tishk International University Campus as a part of the International Accreditation Procedure of both B.Sc.-programs in Computer Engineering and Information Technology.

The panel was formed by the “ Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency” (ZEvA) which is a founding member of The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and The European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) . The methods and criteria of evaluation applied by ZEvA are rooted in the common European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

International Accreditation brings a wide variety of benefits to both academic staff and to institutions by; raising the profile of learning and teaching of the university and demonstrating to students a measurable commitment to the quality of teaching.

“Accredited status” means that students and the public can expect that a school or program lives up to its promises. It means that a student can have confidence that a degree or credential has value. Accreditation signals that the public can have confidence in the worth of an institution or program.

The panel evaluated the two study programs by reviewing thoroughly the Self-Report submitted by Tishk International University and also by holding three rounds of talks with the Top Management (represented by the Head of the Board of Trustee and President of Tishk International University Dr. Idris Hadi Salih and the University Council Members), the Heads of the Programs, the Academic Staff of the Programs, Graduates and Students of the Programs.

The final accreditation decision will be made by the experts and the agency. It is expected to be announced in the coming few months.
