International Relations Office of Tishk International University organized a seminar on Thursday, November 01, 2018 in collaboration with the both Fulbright Foreign Student Program and Amideast organization which is supported by U.S. Embassy & Consulates in Iraq.
The flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, widely known as the Fulbright Program, is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and those of other countries. The program aims to provide educational exchange experiences to a maximum number of individuals.
AMIDEAST is a leading American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa found in 1951. AMIDEAST in its early years focused on promoting U.S. study to students in the MENA region and managing U.S. scholarships and exchanges such as the flagship Fulbright Foreign Student Program.
The seminar was about Scholarships Opportunities to study in USA which was presented by the Amideast Senior Program Manager (Mr. Amiral Ibrahim). He is a “Fulbrighter, one of the students graduated last year from the Fulbright program. He presented a presentation about Fulbright Scholar program including all the details from the starting point, application, how to apply and so on. He also shared his experience during his study in USA.
In the end, the students and the participants enriched the seminars with their questions and ideas. IRO will continue to arrange seminars and workshops for Tishk International students so that, they can benefit from these kind of programs. Students can also benefit from the student exchange program of Tishk International University with the abroad universities.
