Distillation is a process of separating the component or substances from a liquid mixture by evaporating and condensation or to purify an impure liquid. To separate a mixture of liquids, the liquid can be heated to force components, which have different boiling points. Details on how to  do the process, its mechanism, and its uses were explained by the supervisor ( Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain and Research assistant Kovan Dlawer and Ali Omar)

Opening Ceremony Of Faculty of Pharmacy

On 25th June 2018, an opening ceremony was organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy. The ceremony has started by cutting the ribbon by Dr.Idrees Hadi (Head of the board of trustees), Dr.Yousif Goran (Minister of Higher Education), Dr. Saleem Saeed Zangana ( Head of Kurdistan Board), other governmental & political representatives and some general consulates honorable ministers participated in the ceremony. Pharmacy Department Lab Workshop

On 16th and 21st of May, a workshop is held by Pharmacy department in which trainers from Al-Khora and Black Pearl Company (Mr. Muhammed Al-Qaisi and Mr.Ahmed Obeid ) explained the details on how to use new lab equipment. The head of pharmacy, medical analysis and biology departments, lecturers and lab assistants attained the workshop in which many topics regarding lab equipment were discussed.

Scientific Trip to Rizgary Teaching Hospital Laboratories

A scientific trip was organized by pharmacy Department to Razgari Teaching Hospital Laboratories. Students of class A First grade participated.  A tour has been made to the laboratories where different Histological process and equipment have been explained to students. So, students got an idea about how tissues are cut, preserved and stained.  Students could find a relation between the theory part where they have taught in Histology class and the practical part in the field.

Scientific Trip to CMC Hospital

On 8th of February, first grade female pharmacy students visited CMC private hospital to participate in a seminar on breast cancer as a support for breast cancer day. th additional hints The seminar consisted of two parts, the first part was on the importance of self-examination and early detection of breast cancer, which had been presented by Pro. Dr Jamal Ghafur. In the second part, Mrs.Paxshan talked about the importance of psychological treatment of breast cancer patients.
