When I arrived in Iraq I saw that students had wide range of knowledge of structures and rules. They were good at theory .However, when it comes to apply and practice what they knew already they couldn't perform effectively. So, they didn't seemed to me to be happy or satisfied with what they were doing. I wanted them to understand what was missing to complete the whole picture. That is why it was my purpose to try to encourage and motivate my students to apply what they knew.
My short term goals would be like following. To have my students to acquire what they learned earlier so, they can improve their selves easily and develop an enthusiasm for practicing more.
My long term purpose is to get them to grasp the meaning that we don't study and learn for sake of exams and getting degrees we study and learn to acquire some real skills to apply in real world and take our skills with us to go forward and improve ourselves.
