The Consulate Office of the State of Japan in the Kurdistan Region hosted a group of International Relations and Diplomacy department from Tishk International University.

On Wednesday 22nd of May 2019, a group of students from the first year of International Relations and Diplomacy department accompanied by the head of department and staff visited the Consulate Office of the State of Japan in Erbil. The visitors received by Mr. Katsumi Moriaso, the Japanese Consular in the Kurdistan Region and the staff at the Consulate Office. After briefing the students about the mission of the Consulate Office, Mr. Moriaso opened the floor for a long and interesting discussion with the students and staff. Responding to questions and inquiries from the guest visitors, MrMoriaso kindly offered detailed explanation, information, and views on several related issues to the functions and missions of the Consulate Office of the State of Japan in the Kurdistan Region, currently located at the heart of Erbil.

The visit was a great opportunity for students to get an insight into the functions of a diplomatic mission and particularly, get familiar with the role played by the Japanese Government in the Kurdistan Region.
