Tishk International University (TIU) was honored to welcome Mr. Abdulsattar Younus, Head of the Hawler Marathon Organization, along with his esteemed team, for a special meeting aimed at reinforcing community collaboration through the ‘Hope Run’ fundraising and marathon project.

The distinguished guests were warmly received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Prof. Faiq Hussain, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science; Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean; and the Head of the Medical Analysis Department, and the main initiators of the project from TIU.

Both parties expressed their delight in working together on this impactful initiative, which focuses on raising support for cancer patients across the Kurdistan Region. They also shared their mutual interest in establishing a long-term partnership to promote health, awareness, and social responsibility in the community.

During the meeting, TIU proudly handed over the funds collected through the ‘Hope Run’ campaign to Mr. Younus and the Hawler Marathon Organization. As a token of appreciation and recognition, the university was presented with an official marathon t-shirt featuring the TIU logo, symbolizing its vital role in the success of the project.

This collaboration reflects TIU’s strong commitment to social engagement and highlights the power of unity in driving positive change.
