We are thrilled to share another historic achievement for Tishk International University (TIU)! On June 19, 2025, TIU was officially listed in the QS World University Rankings 2026 results, placing in the 1201–1400 band globally.

This marks a significant first: TIU is now the only university from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to appear in this prestigious global ranking. QS evaluates institutions based on academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, research citations, international outlook, and sustainability.

This milestone is a testament to TIU’s continued growth in research, teaching quality, and international collaboration. It also reflects the university’s strategic focus on excellence, innovation, and global engagement.

It is worth mentioning that Tishk International University had already achieved a very high position (#111) in the QS Arab University Ranking in December 2024. This placed it FIRST among all public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region.
