University of Science and Technology and Tishk International University in Iraqi Kurdistan
The President of the University of Science and Technology of Jordan, Dr. Khalid Al-Salem, warmly welcomed Dr. Khalid Al-Salem, Head of Board of Trustees at TIU in his office on December 17th, 2021.
During the meeting, which was attended by the former Secretary General of the Union of Arab Universities, Professor Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, both universities discussed techniques and systems of academic cooperation, exchange of faculty members and students between the two universities. Also, to promote and strengthen the cooperation between the two academic institutions, joint scientific research, in various fields, and opening channels for cultural exchange and scientific research were also suggested and discussed.
Dr. Al-Salem stressed the university’s determination to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation relations with various Arab and international universities. TIU aims in reviewing the origins, objectives and mission of the university and the disciplines it offers, the projects and plans it seeks to achieve, as well as the educational services provided, especially the factors that contribute to the advanced ranks achieved by the university in various international academic classifications.
Dr. Idris Hadi praised the scientific reputation of the University of Science and Technology of Jordan, and further highlighted the motivation of Tishk International University towards strengthening its relationship and academic cooperation with a distinguished scientific edifice such as the University of Science and Technology.
