The workshop in brief:
- The valuation of architects’ work is directly proportional to the value of architecture in any community.
- As it is clearly observed in the market, the architects’ work loses its value gradually, and with every crisis this process of devaluation gaining momentum.
- This workshop attempts to understand the root causes of this issue along with providing a glimpse into what could be done to appraise the architects’ work in the market.
Participants: More than 40 participants (Lecturers, research assistants, students of the architecture department TIU and architects from other universities have attended the workshop).

It was concluded in the workshop that the main responsible stakeholders in devaluations of architect’s work are:
- Legislative bodies.
- Academia.
- Practitioner architects and construction firms.
Thus, future workshops should investigate the root problems in each of these sectors separately, to reach viable solutions for this issue.
