Tishk International Delegates, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas, Dr. Huseyin Cakillikoyak and Dr. Ali Kattan, visited Taylor’s University which is located in Malaysia. The delegates met Dr. Pradeep, Deputy Vice-‐Chancellor and TU staff.
Dr. Pradeep briefed the delegates on the history of Taylor’s Education Group and TU as a private institution and its position (Tier 5) among other universities in Malaysia. He also talked about TU number of students and the schools (15 schools). He emphasized on the possible collaboration with IU on student exchange and a joint postgraduate degree.
After thanking Dr. Pradeep, President Oztas gave a briefing about Tishk International and emphasized that IU has a potential to open channels of collaboration with many countries in the world. He added that Malaysia is one of the countries IU wants to collaborate with. Prof. Oztas expressed his willingness to sign an MU with Taylor’s University in the near future.
Dr. Huseyin Cakillikoyak (Coordinator of IRO and Dean of Law Faculty) mentioned about coming up with a MoU with Taylor’s University in the near future and IU will evaluate the visit and come out with the possible areas of collaboration with TU.
Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Satesh (Deputy Dean) suggested that Dr. Ali Kattan (as a representative of IU) and Dr. Abdulkareem Sh. Mahdi Al-‐Obaidi (as a representative of TU) will be communicating for further steps of collaboration.
After touring within the campus, Dr. Abdulkareem Sh. Mahdi Al-‐Obaidi (Chair and Senior Lecturer) invited Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Satesh (Deputy Dean) to present simple souvenirs to Tishk International University delegates who expressed their thanks and gratitude to Taylor’s University staff for the hospitality and opportunity to know more about TU and School of Engineering in specific.
