Statement of being non-profit academic institution

Tishk International University (TIU) is a non-profit academic institution dedicated to advancing education, research, and community service in the Kurdistan Region and beyond. As a non-profit university, TIU operates with a mission-centered approach rather than a profit-driven agenda. All revenues generated through tuition fees, donations, grants, and partnerships are reinvested into the university to enhance academic quality, improve facilities, support student services, and develop faculty and research capacities.

Established with the vision of providing accessible, affordable, and high-standard education, TIU is committed to fostering an inclusive and student-centered learning environment. The university emphasizes academic excellence, innovation, and ethical leadership, with a strong focus on preparing students to meet the challenges of a global society.

As a non-profit entity, TIU upholds transparency, accountability, and community engagement as core principles. The university continuously seeks to contribute to the social and economic development of the region by producing competent graduates, promoting entrepreneurship, and addressing local and global issues through academic and research initiatives.

TIU’s non-profit status means that decisions are made based on educational priorities, not financial gain. This allows the university to maintain its independence, preserve academic integrity, and ensure that students’ educational needs are always the top priority.

With a diverse student body and a commitment to international standards, TIU collaborates with universities and institutions around the world to expand opportunities for students and faculty. Through its dedication to non-profit values, Tishk International University aspires to be a leading force in shaping a more educated, equitable, and sustainable future.
