Tishk International University is officially certified by ISO 9001:2008
On September, 2, 2015 the ISO 9001:2008 Award Ceremony was held at Dedeman Hotel in Erbil. The ceremony was honored with the presence Vice President of Nechervan Barzani’s Protocol Office Manager, rectors of public and private universities (Asst. Prof. Ahmed Anwer Dizayee, President of Salahaddin University; Asst. Prof. Lezgin Abdi Jamil, President of Zakho University; Asst. Prof. Kawa Sherwani, President of Erbil Polytechnic University; Asst. Prof. Muhammad Khoshnaw, President of Lebanese French University), representatives from media press agencies, academician and students.
The graduation ceremony started with the National Anthem and was followed by the welcome speech of the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş. In his speech discussed how the workmanship of Tishk International University system enabled the university to obtain ISO 9001; 2008 Quality Management System Certificate, leading us to our next goal which is accreditation which means recognition and approval of education quality.
Representative of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Mohammed Saber participated in the event and he stated in his speech; “I welcome dear participants of the event Tishk International University ISO 9001; 2008 certificate Award protocol I congratulate Tishk International University for this accomplishment and I hope that every university will be able to raise their management standards to obtain quality certificates indifferent dexterity as currently we are planning for ranking the public and private universities in KRG”.
Mr. Fatih Cura, Member of ISO 9001 and Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences has given a lecture in the ceremony by explaining ISO 9001, and what takes an organization to become a member of ISO Family including (Costumer Focus, Leadership, Involvement of People and Process Approach).
Dr. Mohammed Saber handed ISO 9001:2008 Quality Certificate to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş while the event was broadcasted by local and international media agencies. The main topic of the meeting was to demonstrate the importance of this quality certificate.
At the end of the Ceremony the participants were invited to the cocktail organized by Tishk International University on this occasion.
