Tishk International University’s Academic and ZEvA Agency’s Delegate held a seminar concerning the international accreditation issues at 18.30 on October 04, 2016.
The interest in the program was so high. The Erbil Governor, the representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the other Ministries, Presidents of the KRG Universities, Deans of Colleges, Heads of Departments, Lecturers, and Academics were ready.
The program started with the inauguration speech by President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş. Seeing the accreditation as crucial in integration to the world, Erbil’s Governor Dr. Newzad Hadi expressed his gratitude in his speech. On behalf of the Ministry, Dr. Noori Harzani, General Director of the Quality Assurance, made a speech, expressing that such enterprises of the higher educations will help KRG to find its proper place among the other countries in the world in terms of science.
After the speeches, the sessions for the presentations started. President Öztaş made a presentation on the quality jorney that Tishk International University has taken until now.
Dr. Jürgen Petersen from Zeva Accreditation Institution, who is a quality expert and a delegate member of the institution, made an otstanding presentation under the topic of “Opportunities in the Higher Education through the International Accreditation”. In his speech, Dr. Petersen clarified the the European Union education standart “Bologna Process” and opportunities through International Accreditation and these are very important to adhere the other nations’ educational outputs to the rest of the world.
The local media showed great interest in the program: Kurdistan 24, Zagros, and Speda were ready in the organization which took place in the Salahaddin University’s Culture Center on Kirkuk Road.
The event was adjourned after the dinner served.
