On 16 February 2026, the Faculty of Nursing at Tishk International University officially inaugurated two new facilities: the Emergency Unit and the Counseling & Welfare Unit, marking an important step toward enhancing healthcare and support services for the university community.

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University; Assistant Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Mehmet Özdemir and Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice Presidents of the university; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dara Abdulla, Head of the Nursing Department. Several deans and department heads also attended the event.

The ceremony began with an official ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the launch of the new building for both units. Following the inauguration, staff members provided visitors with a comprehensive overview of the facilities, explaining their functions and the services they will offer. The Emergency Unit is designed to deliver immediate medical support, while the Counseling & Welfare Unit focuses on psychological counseling and student welfare services.

This initiative reflects the Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and accessible support for students and staff and all university community. The event concluded with a guided tour of the new place units and a gathering that celebrated this significant milestone for the university.
