The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of the University; Assistant Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Mehmet Özdemir and Dr. Fatih Cura, Vice Presidents of the University; and Prof. Dr. Faiq H. S. Hussain, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. Several deans and department heads also attended the event.
The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks by Assistant Prof. Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, and Ms. Rawa K. Fattah, Head of the Department of Medical Technical Radiology. In their speeches, they emphasized the academic importance of anatomy education, the transformative role of advanced technology in medical training, and the significance of inaugurating the region’s first fully advanced 3D Anatomy Laboratory. They highlighted how the new facility will enhance students’ practical skills, deepen clinical understanding, and foster interactive learning experiences.
The program also featured a detailed presentation by the company representative, introducing the advanced features of the 3D Anatomy Table, including virtual dissection, high-resolution anatomical visualization, and integrated clinical case-based learning.
This new laboratory reflects the Faculty of Applied Sciences’ ongoing commitment to modernizing healthcare education and equipping students with cutting-edge tools aligned with international standards. The event concluded with an official tour of the laboratory and a gathering celebrating this important achievement for the university community.
