On February 15, 2026, Tishk International University had the honor of visiting the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by Kwestan Mohammed, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, along with the General Directorates of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The University delegation was led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Saleh, Head of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Özdemir, Vice President of the University, and Mr. Dana Shamsaddin, Head of the International Relations Office.
During the meeting, both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, training, and community development. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and government sectors, particularly in supporting workforce development and social initiatives in the Kurdistan Region.
This visit and the signing of the MOU underscore the importance of fostering strong partnerships between higher education institutions and governmental organizations to serve society and support sustainable development in the Kurdistan Region.
