  In partnership with TAKVIN Organization, the 1st International Workshop on Heart Health Awareness (IWHHA) was held at Tishk International University on Monday, 1st November 2021. The Faculty of Nursing in collaboration with TAKVIN staff members and volunteers, organized this event. University of Science and Technology and Tishk International University in Iraqi Kurdistan The President of the University of Science and Technology of Jordan, Dr. Khalid Al-Salem, warmly welcomed Dr. Khalid Al-Salem, Head of Board of Trustees at TIU in his office on December 17th, 2021. On 14th October 2021, the Department of Mathematics Education organized a national workshop under the theme, “New Approaches to Improve Teaching Quality of University Level Mathematics”. The workshop was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, President of Tishk International University, and addressed by the Dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Suleyman Celik. The keynote speakers explained that the workshop’s main objectives were to diagnose problems, difficulties, hindrances, and unexpected pop-up problematic issues that lecturers encounter in the process of instructing students. The first ICOWOBAS was held 14 years ago, in August 2007, in Surabaya. The event's purpose was to enhance a new collaboration between Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Indonesia, and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. A year later, the second ICOWOBAS was held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, on June 03-04 2009, jointly with the Regional Annual Fundamental Science Seminar (RAFSS 2009). In 2017, the conference was held at Salahaddin University (Kurdistan Region, Iraq) to enrich the collaboration between UTM, UNAIR, and Salahaddin University. Tishk International University is currently working on a project entitled ‘Religious and Cultural Diversity in Kurdistan’, funded by DAAD. As part of this project, with the cooperation of Potsdam University, Salahaddin University, and Catholic University since 2019, a book titled “Ferman 74” will be published soon Further to this, a delegation from Potsdam University visited the Kurdistan Region in aim to implement the major operations and significant measures of the project.
