TIU’s Computer Education Department Holds the 10th National Young Researchers Conference
The Computer Education Department, Faculty of Education at Tishk International University, held the 10th National Young Researchers Conference on the 25th of May 2023, sponsored by Al Haydar Cars. The Young Researcher Conference is held annually by the Faculty of Education, aiming to foster connections between the faculty and young national academicians and researchers. The primary objective of this conference is to facilitate in-depth discussions and scholarly exchanges, encompassing a wide range of topics relevant to the field of education.
All preparations were carried out by the staff members of the Faculty of Education, including the organization, coordination, and evaluation of the abstract paper for each project to be presented. The event was directed by the Conference Chair, Mr. Muhammed Anwar, Head of the Computer Education Department, Co-chair, Ms. Slvar Abdulazeez, Lecturer of the Computer Education Department, and the Conference Secretaries, Ms. Yara Arjuman, and Mr. Ahmed Ali Research Assistants at Computer Education Department, Head of the Scientific Committee Ms. Narmin Muhammed, Lecturer at the Computer Education Department and Head of the Organizing Committee Mr. Zanyar Osman, Research Assistant at the Biology Education Department.
NAYREC 2023 aimed to connect the Faculty of Education at TIU with national young academicians and researchers to discuss the development of their profession and present their brilliant works. The conference attracted researchers from several local academic institutions and international academicians.
The conference commenced with an opening ceremony hosted by Bita Nzar, a student at TIU. Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, delivered a presentation about our university, which was followed by a valuable keynote speech by Dr. Abdullah Kurudirek, highlighting current and ideal approaches to educating Generation Z and Alpha.
The conference consisted of two sessions, starting at 9:30 AM and concluded at 5:00 PM. Each session represented a specific field of education, including Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and English Language Teaching. The sessions were followed by a closing ceremony. 102 students presented at the conference altogether including students from other universities, such as Salahaddin University-Erbil and Soran University.
NAYREC-2023 received 102 abstract submissions from different fields, including Educational Studies, Biological Sciences, Health and Disease, Physics, Nanoscience, Nanotechnology, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Computer, Mathematics Education, Applied Linguistics, and English Language Teaching. The scientific committee members of the conference reviewed each abstract submission.
