TIU Celebrates Kurdistan Flag Day On December 17th, 2023, Tishk International University (TIU) gathered together for a special celebration organized by the Dean of Students – the Kurdistan Flag Day. Let's talk about the flag! The Kurdish flag is special with a bright golden sun (called "Roj" in Kurdish) in the middle. This sun has 21 rays, and it's interesting because they are the same size, except for one at the top and two at the bottom. The number 21 is important and means rebirth in the old Kurdish religion.
