QS World University Rankings 2027
Tishk International University (TIU) has maintained its 1201–1400 position in the QS World University Rankings 2027, reaffirming its place among the world’s recognized universities.
Ranked as the highest-ranked university in the Kurdistan Region and fourth in Iraq, TIU achieved the strongest national performance in International Faculty and earned high rankings in research impact, sustainability, and academic reputation. These achievements reflect TIU’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research, and internationalization.

On June 19, 2025, Tishk International University (TIU) was ranked in the QS World University Rankings 2026, placing in the 1201–1400 band globally. TIU is the first and only university in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to achieve this recognition.
This milestone reflects TIU’s excellence in education, research, innovation, and international collaboration. It follows another major achievement in December 2024, when TIU ranked #111 in the QS Arab University Rankings, placing first among all universities in the Kurdistan Region. This success was made possible by the dedication of TIU’s faculty, staff, students, alumni, and international partners.
