25 November is the Violence Against Women all over the world. In this context, Student Deanery of Tishk International University organized a brilliant event with the help of our talented volunteers.

Violence against women and girls is a grave violation of human rights. Its impact ranges from immediate to multiple long-term physicals, sexual and mental consequences for women and girls, including death. It negatively affects women’s general well-being and prevents women from fully participating in society. Violence has not only negative consequences for women but also their families, the community and the country at large. It has tremendous costs, from greater health care and legal expenses and losses in productivity, impacting national budgets and overall development.

From the very beginning of the day, an art exhibition has been enrolled in the entrance of the education building, in which many art and photography portrait has presented during the exhibition. Before starting the panel Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees presented the plaque of appreciation to the panelist, then a panel discussion has been enrolled under the title of eliminating violence against women, the panelists were: Mr. Ari Rafiq, Vice Director in the Directorate of eliminating violence against women in ministry of internal affairs, Miss. Rozh Sherzad, Consultant lawyer, and Miss. Dashne Murad, Women activities & singer and also Miss. Hero Ismail was the moderator of the event.

Tishk International University’s staffs and students are as they came from one family regardless of their religion, political, nationality, and gender.
