4th IWENTP International Workshop Illuminates New Paths at TIU

We are pleased to announce the dissemination of the insights and achievements from the 4th International Workshop on Education: New Trends and Prospects, which took place on September 21st, 2023, at Tishk International University. This workshop functioned as a pivotal platform for the convergence of educational theory and practise, shedding insight on the fundamental nature of incorporating capstone projects, particularly within the English Language Teaching Department. The workshop was conducted under the theme, “Words to Works: Initiating Capstone Projects in Education.”

The assembly commenced with a motivational address delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idrees Hadi, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and symbolised the university’s dedication to advancing educational progress and set the intellectual tempo for a day filled with meaningful discussions and new findings.

Lecturers and presenters captivated the audience with stimulating discussions across four informative sessions, delving into the practical integration of educational knowledge and culminating projects across many academic disciplines. Mr. Bogdan Miroshnichenko, CELTA Teacher Trainer and ELT Consultant, offered valuable perspectives on the successful integration of capstone projects into university ecosystems.

In a session titled “Navigating the Capstone Project Piloting: A Comprehensive Overview,” Mr. Soran Mustafa Kurdi provided a detailed analysis of the developmental and operational dimensions of capstone projects, thereby broadening our understanding in this area.

The concept of interactive exploration and knowledge exchange refers to the process of actively engaging with information and ideas in order to gain a deeper understanding and share insights with others. This approach involves diligently seeking out new perspectives, asking questions, and participating in discussions or activities

The workshop provided a platform for educators to engage in deeper discussions, enabling them to thoroughly examine the intricacies of formulating and implementing capstone project ideas. The existence of many departments fostered an interdisciplinary discourse, enhancing the calibre and profundity of the knowledge interchange.

The end of the event was marked by a commemoration of intellectual prowess and a spirit of collaboration, during which individuals from many fields showcased their capstone projects. The convergence of ideas not only enriched the workshop’s substance but also ignited a revitalised enthusiasm for integrating capstone projects into diverse educational contexts.

As we reflect on the accomplishments and innovative spirit of the workshop, we find ourselves invigorated by the progressive insights and the aspiring momentum for groundbreaking academic initiatives. The knowledge and techniques that have been obtained are intended to accelerate the development of novel educational methodologies, promoting academic excellence and fostering creativity.

We express our sincere gratitude to those who made significant contributions, actively participated, and provided support, thereby playing crucial roles in the successful implementation of this workshop. We look forward to the continuation of collaborative learning and inquiry as we strive for educational excellence.
