6th International Workshop on Nanotechnology

We are pleased to announce that the 6th International Workshop on Nanotechnology, under the theme A Sustainable Development in Energy and Construction in Kurdistan-Iraq, was successfully held on December 22nd, 2022. The workshop took place in Hall #302 and #301 at Tishk International University, Erbil-Iraq.

The workshop began with opening speeches delivered by Dr. Fatih CURA, the Vice President of Tishk International University, Dr. Orhan TUG, on behalf of the Dean of Education Faculty, and Dr. Pshtiwan Akrem, Head of the Physics Education Department. The workshop was conducted in two parts, Part 1: Keynote Speeches and Part 2: Panel Discussion.

Distinguished academicians presented six keynote speeches in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. This year, our guest speaker, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mansoob Khan, from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam, proudly participated with us. The workshop was also streamlined online via zoom platform for the international attendees and participants. Two hundred forty-four participants attended the workshop on campus, and more than 207 participants attended online. After the keynote speeches, lunch was served to the guests.

Also, some posters were presented in the workshop. Researchers, individually or in a group, participated in the workshop by presenting their studies with posters from Tishk International University. The panel discussion, titled “Pathways to the Establishment and Sustainability of a Nanotechnology Association in Kurdistan-Iraq”, was the final session of the workshop, in which distinguished academicians participated in a productive discussion.

According to the report and participant feedback, attendees at 33 Universities from 14 countries joined the 6th International Workshop. The feedback indicated that the audience received valuable information from the scientific discussions and the speeches delivered by the keynote speakers.
