Erbil, Iraq – May 13, 2025 – We are pleased to announce that the 7th International Workshop on Nanotechnology, themed “Green Nanotechnology for a Greener Future,” was successfully held today in Hall #302 at Tishk International University (TIU).
The event commenced with opening remarks delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of the University; and Dr. Pshtiwan Akrem, Head of the Physics Education Department at TIU.
The workshop featured two main sessions:
- Part 1: Keynote Speeches
- Part 2: Panel Discussion
A total of seven keynote speeches were delivered by distinguished academicians in nanoscience and nanotechnology. This year’s special guest was Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mansoob Khan from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam, who honored the workshop with his participation.
The event concluded with a panel discussion titled: “Strategies for Advancing Green Energy in KRI: Challenges, Opportunities, and the Roadmap.” This engaging session brought together renowned scholars. They shared insights and explored practical pathways for promoting green energy in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).
According to the final report, the workshop welcomed 130 participants from 21 universities. This marked a strong academic turnout and active engagement throughout the event.
