A Welcome Ceremony was organized by the office of the Students Deanery on October 10, 2017. The event took place at the Tishk International University campus where the Tishk International University students were congratulated on the commencement of a new beginning of their academic life.
The program consisted of a minute standing in silence respecting the souls of martyrs and offering condolences to the Tishk International Family on the passing of the Kurdish leader and Former President of Iraq, Mr. Jalal Talabani.
It was then followed by a short speech from the President of Tishk International University, Dr. Idris Hadi, in which he congratulated the students regarding the new Academic Year and informed the students about some of important achievements that are accomplished this past year, such as the Accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education of Iraq, opening joint master programs with EPU – Erbil Medical University – Salahaddin University , and opening five new departments; Pharmacy, Medical Analysis, Petroleum, Surveying and Mechatronics Engineering.
Finally, Dean of Students wished all success to all Tishk International University staff’s and students.
