National Workshop: Quality of Teaching is the Principle of Technological Development Civilization Prosperity
The Mechatronics Engineering Department at Tishk International University organized the 1st National Workshop on the Effects of Technological Development on Quality of Teaching, titled “Quality of Teaching is the Principle of Technological Development Civilization Prosperity”. The workshop was successfully held from December 19th to December 29th, 2021.
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Idris Hadi, Chairman of Board of Trustees at TIU
Speech: “It is important to focus on how to change the teaching process to learning”. The speech focused on Quality Learning, and discussed how modern teaching and learning process can engage students through:
- Modern technologies (Students learn better and faster).
- Personalizing the learning experience of students (this combines face to face) teaching with technology assisted instruction, aiming to create a stimulating learning experience for all.
- Guiding students to become active learners by participating, collaborating, contributing in the learning process.
Honorable Keynote Speaker: Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, President of AL Furat AL Awsat University, Karbala, Iraq.
Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq presented a speech on improving the quality of teaching. In light of this event, and in aim to improve the quality of teaching, both universities expressed their strong wishes to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for further collaboration.
Keynote Speaker: Prof. Dr. Qaysar Salih Mahdi, Department of Mechatronics, Faculty of Engineering, Tishk International University, Erbil.
Speech: The 5G Fifth Generation Technology Informatics and Its Reflections on The Quality of Education
Dr, Qaysar Salih Mahdi explained how 5G Technology is increasing the flexibility of network infrastructure, improving scalability and serviceability. The presentation also covered how 5G Technology has facilitated the provision of Virtual Reality VR and Augmented Reality AR, Artificial Intelligence AI and Holography technologies in smart classrooms and virtual laboratories and smart cities.
