TIU Hosts its 8th Career Days Event
Tishk International University recently hosted an exceptional two-day Career Days Event on May 23rd and 24th, 2023. Organized by the Dean of Students and the Career Centre Unit in collaboration with the Brightway Company for education and study services, this event aimed to provide students with valuable insights and opportunities to explore diverse career paths. Under the theme of Pathways to Success and Building a Sustainable Future, the event garnered an overwhelmingly positive response and featured renowned companies.
The Career Days Event served as an remarkable platform for students to directly engage with industry professionals and gain invaluable knowledge about their prospective fields. With the participation of prestigious companies such as Kar Company, Asiacell, Sardar Group, Ozil Alan, Worms Real Estate, Khoshnaw Company, Korek Telecom, Qala Engineering Consultants, Shkoy Sha Real Estate, Homele, Golden Planet Real Estate, Optimal Source, Nasswallet, and the ACI Kurdistan Chapter, students had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of esteemed organizations.
The hosting duties were skillfully carried out by Mr. Mohammed Sulltan and Miss Gashbin Kadhim, who ensured a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for all attendees. The opening ceremony featured two notable speeches. Dr. Idris Hady, the Head of the Board of Trustees, delivered an inspiring address, followed by Mr. Muhammed, the General Manager of Brightway Company, who shared valuable insights.
The event presented students with two exceptional opportunities. The first was the Internship Program, enabling students to gain practical experience in their chosen fields. The second opportunity comprised more than 120 job vacancies across various companies, offering students a diverse array of potential career paths.
Incorporating informative panels, the Career Days Event provided attendees with valuable knowledge and guidance. On May 23rd, Dr. Omer Qarany presented a panel on “How to Find a Job,” sharing effective job search strategies and emphasizing the importance of networking. On May 24th, Mr. Ozil Alan led a panel discussion on “Creating Your Own Career,” inspiring students to become entrepreneurs and forge their own paths in their desired fields.
The success of the Career Days Event would not have been possible without the unwavering support and participation of the esteemed companies, who generously shared their expertise and provided students with invaluable career advice.
