Tishk International University (TIU) Establishes Collaboration with the University of Sharjah
In line with the objective of expanding and cultivating academic and scientific relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Tishk International University (TIU), embarked on a visit to the prestigious University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates on June 1st, 2023. He was warmly welcomed by the Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, Prof. Dr. Hamid M. K. Al Naimiy.
The University of Sharjah, founded in 1997, upholds a vision of contributing to the esteemed qualities embraced by renowned universities worldwide. With an emphasis on comprehensive and multidisciplinary education and research programs, the university offers an array of 122 programs spanning diverse academic disciplines.
With 14 colleges encompassing fields such as Sharia and Law, Health Sciences, Medicine, Fine Arts and Design, Engineering, and Communication, the University of Sharjah provides a wide range of courses at the diploma, BSc/BA, MSc/MA, Ph.D., and Executive MBA (EMBA) levels.
Responding to the shared interests in cooperation within the realms of education and research, as well as fostering direct engagement and collaboration among faculty members, departments, research institutions, and students, both Tishk International University and the University of Sharjah have formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 1st, 2023.
During the meeting, both parties had the opportunity to present their respective universities, highlighting notable achievements in terms of quantity, quality, accreditation, and international rankings. In addition, an in-depth review of academic programs was conducted to align them with the evolving needs of the market. The discussion also encompassed the implementation mechanisms of the MoU and explored various areas of collaboration.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and productive cooperation extended by the host university, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees underscored the impressive local and international accomplishments of the University of Sharjah, particularly its noteworthy standing in international rankings. The visit further solidified the commitment to mutually beneficial endeavours between TIU and the University of Sharjah.
