TIU’s Civil Engineering Department Commences ISO 17025/2017 Training
Tishk International University’s Civil Engineering Department is taking a significant step towards elevating the quality of education and research it offers to its students. The department has initiated a training program to achieve ISO 17025/2017 Certificate for its laboratories. The faculty members and assistants are to attend the training course, organized by BUREAU VERITAS Company. ISO 17025/2017 is a globally recognized quality management system tailored for laboratories, ensuring consistent, accurate, and reliable test results. This accreditation journey underscores the department’s commitment to excellence.
Dr. Jwan Jalal, Dean of Engineering Faculty, expressed optimism about the endeavor, noting that this ISO certificate considers as a first step regarding the accreditation which will benefit students, strengthen research capabilities, and have a positive impact on the construction industry.
The training program will span for five days, focusing on aligning laboratory processes with ISO 17025/2017 standards.
