Transition of Presidency: Dr. Abdul Samad’s Legacy and Dr. Sultan’s Vision for TIU
In a ceremony held on November 1st, 2023, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Tishk International University officially marked a significant transition in the leadership of the institution. It is with great pleasure and a profound sense of responsibility that we announce the appointment of Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi as the new President of TIU, effective as of Wednesday, November 1st, 2023.
Dr. Sultan brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise, and we are confident that his visionary leadership will propel our university to new heights. His commitment to our shared mission and values is truly commendable.
During the handover ceremony, Dr. Idris expressed his warmest wishes for Dr. Sultan’s success in his new role. He also took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to Dr. Abdul Samad, our former President, for his remarkable contributions to TIU. Dr. Abdul Samad’s dedication and hard work have left an indelible mark on our institution.
In his address, Dr. Abdul Samad expressed his gratitude to all the deans, acknowledging their valuable and tireless efforts. He thanked the entire TIU family for their support and dedication, which has been instrumental in the university’s success. He also expressed his appreciation for the administrative assistants who have played a vital role in the day-to-day operations.
