TIU FASE Charity’s Student-Driven Effort Renovates Raparin Hospital
The collaboration between the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Tishk International University (TIU) and Raparin Hospital signifies the commencement of a productive collaboration with the goal of improving healthcare facilities and visitor experiences. This collaboration demonstrates our mutual dedication to supporting communities and promoting a beneficial influence through philanthropic initiatives.
Following extensive and meaningful conversations with officials from Raparin Hospital, we performed thorough evaluations of the hospital’s needs. It became clear that there was an urgent need to improve the visual attractiveness and practicality of the hospital corridors. After thorough consideration, it was unanimously decided that carrying out a tile renovation project would greatly enhance the atmosphere and aesthetic appeal of the hospital corridors, thus creating a more inviting and soothing environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Following several days of work at the hospital, FASE successfully met all of the discussed requirements. The recent renovation of the corridor, including the design and installation of new tiles, has been finished. An opening ceremony took place on May 15th, 2024, with the presence of President of TIU, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, Mr. Mahmood, Director of Raparin Hospital, Mr. Karwan Sherwani, Vice Dean of FASE, Dr. Mohammed Abdullghani, Dean of Students, Dr. Hamdi Serin, Head of Social Activities, and representatives from various departments.
It is imperative to highlight that all the financial resources needed for this charitable initiative were generated solely by the diligent endeavours of our student volunteers. They enthusiastically engaged in various activities organised by the university and faculty to raise funds for this commendable purpose. We would like to express our gratitude to our sponsor, Sulikim Company, for their generous support. This conference has been conducted on a yearly basis for the past 11 years and has consistently produced favourable results.
The Faculty of Education was responsible for all preparations, which included organising, coordinating, and evaluating the abstract papers for each project that would be presented. The event was overseen by Dr. Pishtiwan Akram, the conference chair, Dr. Muhammad Hisham, the head of the scientific committee, Mr. Sivar Aziz, the head of the organising committee, and Mr. Sebur Salih, the conference secretary.
